I think it's dark humor. You could go as far as saying that it's a word play on fatigue (tiredness) since it's about breakfast but I am pretty sure it's not.
For me, it's the combination of everything that makes it funny. First, it's a reply to Dan's tweet, a word play on hoe which can also be considered cruel, but since he referred to himself, it's fine. Then it's the parody account itself. Great concept, very clever, and very in-character as the French Dan. And because it rhymes with baguette which.. wow.

This is a pretty good point, I think. Officially coming out would also make it obvious to casual watchers who might not have caught on yet since they don't watch every video, might not follow him on Twitter and so on. And it would affect his branding, I agree. I have a feeling Dan doesn't want to be "that lgbtq youtuber" like Tyler Oakley is for instance but peoples' perception of him would change and he might not want that. Also we still live in a homophobic and biphobic society. It's gotten a lot better but we're not there yet and coming out to the whole entire world is a big step to take. It would attract homophobes on social media and probably irl too and if he's scared of that, especially after what happened in 2012, I get that. It would probably also fire up new speculations about his and Phil's relationship status and if they're together, that's another thing they apparently don't want out in the open at the moment.black_rat wrote:As this is all pure speculation, i would assume that what is holding him back, firstly, is that he would have to figure out how open he would want to be about this, how much he would address things that he has said in the past, but also how this would change his YouTube branding. With that I mean that he would not only "come out" to the phandom, but this would also reach other youtubers and the media, etc, and he might not want to draw more attention to this specific aspect.
I was so sad when the "French Élon Musque" account (which I'm assuming this is based on) rebranded to something completely different, but this Dan parody account is even better.

Lol. I haven’t seen that on Tumblr. Idk I think she’s a member of a different Room Service Club if you know what I mean

Just saying, Dan and Phil have their own room service club and it’s just them).
Thanks *high five* Um, since you are from France dare I ask what you think of the French Daniel Howellé Twitter account? I’m rolling my eyes at all the ‘hon hon’-ing, but these ones made me laugh:

LOOK AT THIS ONE
THERE ARE TEARS IN MY EYES
faguette tweet– lol
i understand why people might not like it but it's just a reclaimed thing for me, imo it's fine as long as it's not used in a dehumanizing way. (but it's valid to disagree nd i completely
understand!!)
i like the not-so-het likes of 2018!
well i don’t know if it’s just me, but i feel like sometimes it doesn’t sound french at all, particularly the ‘baguetté’ : i don’t understand why the account put a ‘é’ at the end of words ending with a ‘e’ because we wouldn’t say it like that (but maybe it’s just me not understanding what the person means by that). on the whole it’s funny except these times where i’m like : ‘what?!’ with a big frown because it doesn’t sound french haha
It’s supposed to be how the French laugh, but like in a very over the top and stereotypical way.
See also parodies like this. Hon hon is used at about 0:48.LadyLackless wrote: Tue Aug 14, 2018 2:07 pmIt’s supposed to be how the French laugh, but like in a very over the top and stereotypical way.

actually (sorry if this is offending) i feel like sometimes it sounds italian to me
édit : oh yeah and what the ‘hon-hon’ is supposed to mean?
I think they're already there. It was 12:30pm in eastern Australia when Dan tweeted about (presumably) getting coffee, while it was 7:30pm in Vancouver. A double shot of espresso sounds like just the thing you need to stay up and adjust your sleep schedule to a new time zone.

According to google it’s 2am on Wednesday in Australia right now. So far I think the Rize shows have been midday in whatever time zone dnp have been in on Tuesday/Thursday. Might be wrong though. I’m taking my headphones to work with me just in case.
Oh my thought was they were at the airport getting ready to board. I guess we will find out at some point today. It's only 2am right now in Australia so we probably won't find out until much later. Also I wonder how they will do livestreams because they can't be at the same time they were originally doing them, hopefully they learn how to give ample warning but look who I'm talking about.itasca00 wrote: Tue Aug 14, 2018 3:38 pmI think they're already there.
