Yeah... their statements here did not make me optimistic about any disregard to Felix. However I actually took Phil's statement the opposite way. I heard "just take the good" as in "anything that has serious bad things don't engage" and only find support creators/creations that are all good (or realistically mostly good). So instead of supporting Kanye spend that energy supporting a non problematic creator. Thinking back this doesn't make as much since as dizzy's interpretation and I'm probably not understanding very well but who knowsalittledizzy wrote: Tue Sep 12, 2017 11:12 pmI actually thought Dan's outlook here was less dismissive than Phil's. Dan's argument seemed to be that if you enjoy the good in something you also need to acknowledge the bad, while Phil's response was to just take the good - which I interpreted to be finished with an unspoken "And pretend the bad doesn't even exist." It seems like a very Phil way to go about things, but also the exact kind that would lead Phil to still be chums with someone like Shawna or to never unfollow Felix.000dia000 wrote: Tue Sep 12, 2017 11:01 pmWhat do you guys think of Damien's comment about enjoying something, while also acknowledging the problematic nature or history that this thing might have? Also, Dan's following comment on how he enjoys Kanye's music, while also being aware of how he is problematic as a person. While, I suppose this is a rational approach to life and how to enjoy things, remember, not everything is pure and untainted, there's usually a dark underbelly to absolutely anything, but I'm just surprised that nobody seemed to bring this up. Mostly due to people's recent comments on deppy sort of taking the quiet approach to whatever their youtube peers are doing, in this case pewdiepie. It felt like Dan's comment in particular was a bit dismissive, idk, or maybe he was right and that you should be allowed to draw a line between appreciation, while also being critical? What is everybody else's thoughts on this topic?

I'm taking this out from under the cut because it's really hitting all the highlights and I don't want people to miss it.Catallena wrote: Tue Sep 12, 2017 10:37 pm Happy thee years of DAPG aka the best thing that happened to the phandom![]()

Considering today's anniversary I'm glad I enjoyed this video so much. I kept zoning out of the last one but with this one I was pretty engaged all the way through, mostly because of the top notch bants. And they seemed very happy and smiley

- Depz never go to sleep while mad at each other is what I got from that.
- Dan likes his men with well manicured lawns.
- We already knew Dan goes in full emo teen mode whenever Phil leaves but I still like hearing about it.
- Japanese cuddle cafe's huh.![]()
- Concept: Dan and Phil doing a 1000 piece puzzle. And filming it.
- Phil calling Dan out for ruining his illuminati editing moment.
- Dan teases Phil for his coffee addiction.
- Bosom discourse.
- lmao Dan starting to talk about the movies they watch, catching himself and cutting himself off.
- Phil sweet tooth strikes again as Dan drags his afternoon tea habits.
- Debutante discourse results in DE BOOTY.
- "You say a lot of things that don't make sense" he says fondly.![]()

- I was still giggling at Dan's impression of Damien when Phil dropped that "and I'd like to pull it off you" pickup line and I choked on my own breath.
- Oh for fucks sake, fucking Kanye again.

If the next installments are as fun as this one I'll end up genuinely loving this series![]()
I really like that interpretation of Phil's comment more. I'm not sure I believe that's what I meant, but I definitely see how it can be taken both ways - damnit, Phil, why so vague.drearyquery wrote: Wed Sep 13, 2017 12:23 amYeah... their statements here did not make me optimistic about any disregard to Felix. In general I love the discussion about how much can we seperate problematic creators and their creations. We actually had a unit on this in my school. So I'm really interested to hear other's thoughts
Joss WhedonDo we actually know of anyone Phil likes/supports that's quite as... decidedly problematic? (Besides Shawna, which to be fair for him, he didn't even RT the second part of her video and hasn't really spoken with her since and for all we know never will again.)

lmfao I had a feeling that was it. I think that might account for that Look that Dan gave Phil when Phil mentioned it.moaninglisa wrote: Wed Sep 13, 2017 2:12 amWell...![]()

I'd like to think Mediterranean at least! September is a great time to go - still lovely weather but all the schools are back so much less chance of being bothered by fans.
